Brave indeed! Makes me nauseous...and to think, I'm contemplating my very first tattoo in honor of my 64th birthday this summer..(a crow of some kind) youza! David, you're an inspiration to all of us who are unadorned!
Tell David I love his choice of symbols--to me they are signs of a true seeker who is not content with just accepting mainstream life.
When I got my recent tattoo (7 years ago), I described it as being like letting a kitten with razor-sharp claws scratch my shoulder in the same place for two hours. What fun!
By the way, when I got my first tattoo, done under the desk with pen and ink in 8th grade art class, my mom was horrified. Now look who's getting her own tattoo! Mom, it's my turn to say, no yell, "You will never be a brain surgeon with that [crow] tattoo!"
Excuse us for a moment, Katie. And Aaron, I was right! You never did become a brain surgeon!! As for me...maybe I should rethink this. I am looking for a little post retirement employment...Thanks, Katie.

Thanks for the kind words about the tattoos. Funny, the tattoo artist described the pain in almost exactly the same way you did, Aaron.
To Coop: Hold on there lady, I know HUNDREDS of brain surgeons with tattoos!
