I'm Spent

I went to bed this morning at 4:00 a.m. and was up at 7 to take Annie to her first day of school. Every year we hold our breath to see who she will have as a teacher, and this year there is good news! It’s Miss Orlando for 4th grade and I overheard one parent telling another, "If we get Miss Orlando this year, we're going to Disney World! (I’m assuming he meant that in a good way…) So, after last year’s awful witch, David and I are both relieved to hear that Annie will have a teacher who has been called "creative, patient, and kind," and in a New York City public school, that's like gold.

The last few days have been busy ones, and perhaps after I've gotten just a little more sleep, I’ll attempt to post something about it. In the meantime, here are some bits and pieces…
