Wednesday Afternoon

Today I talked to Tai about the weight that's been lifted from my heart, and very softly she said, "Isn't it wonderful?"

And even softer I said, "Yes...it's wonderful."

"Freedom," she said.

On our way home from school, two birds share seeds left by Angela, the old woman we call, "The Angel of Washington Heights."

Just buildings on my block.

Annie on the corner of Fort Washington Avenue & 187th Street.

After a stop at the market, we head to my place, our place, a.k.a. "The Studio," for snack, bath and homework. I'm amazed at how quickly and easily Annie has adjusted to the new routine, but we remain a family who operates from a place of love. Why wouldn't she be dong well?
