When I was a little girl I used to watch a show called Romper Room, and at the end of each episode "Miss Carol" looked straight at her television audience through her hand-held hoop-on-a-stick.
"I see Johnny," she would say, "and Suzy, oh, and there's Bobby! I see Cindy, and Billy..."
And while she listed all the children she saw through the TV set, I would wave and shout, "And Katie! Over here Miss Carol, you see Katie!"
But she never said my name. Miss Carol never saw me.
I guess that explains it.

When I was little, our Miss Betty never saw me either ... OBVIOUSLY the foolish women HAD to ignore those destined for greatness ...
Thier loss !!!
Katie! What a coincidence. Yesterday a woman with a flip hairdo and a big plastic wand was walking down Pacific Garden Mall saying, "I see you, Katie. I see you!" Of course that kind of behavior is common for SC.
I too use to watch that program.
By the way Katie, I see you!
Also, I just wanted to let you know that I love that Woody Allen quote on your sidebar.
I am a collector of quotes and ironically I stumbled across that very quote today when I was searching "suffering".
I rest my case.
Thanks all, I feel much better now.
