All Washed Up
This is a picture of Washington Heights (my neighborhood) from the 1940's. See that movie theatre on the right of the photo? It's still there and was actually the first theatre in the United States to serve popcorn. (I won't go there because the audio is terrible) Up the hill in the back of the photos is Ft. Washington Avenue, and one block down THAT hill is where we live on Cabrini Blvd. The building on the left of the photo is still an old bank, but of course it now shares residency with a McDonalds as well. Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks too, but it's fun to look at this picture and know that even in the old days, people were reminiscing ... about the old days.
