In 1973 my family moved to Los Angeles from San Francisco, and so did my mother's entire improvisational theatre company, The Pitchell Players. And long before the Chateau Marmont was a Hollywood hot spot, it was a home to us while we all awaited more permanent digs. Here is a song some of the guys wrote while staying there, including my brother Michael who was 15 at the time. I suppose it was the shock of leaving Northern California and landing in L.A.. You must click on this to see it. It's worth it!
