Dreamin' of Dawgs

I woke this morning dreaming of prairie dogs, and then I remembered that as a child I was intensely drawn to these cute little creatures and wanted desperately to have one of my very own.

Prairie Dogs are gregarious and can be one of the most affectionate of pets if handled with tender loving care. They are active, playful and strong and thrive on attention.

Prairie Dogs possess the most sophisticated of all natural animal languages.

Scientists know surprisingly little about the prairie dog's breeding habits, because most of the action takes place in underground burrows. But one thing they do know for sure is that during mating season, you'll hear quite a bit of sound.

Cute little buggers, I still want one, I wonder how they'd fare living in the big city.

I suppose for now I'll just have to keep dreaming.
