My friend Tai taught me to drive when I was 13. Almost three years later I had to get behind the wheel of my father's car and pretend I'd never driven before. Needless to say he was impressed by how quickly I mastered the stick shift.
My father once told me the most important thing in life was to evolve as a human being. Years after that, he told me the most important thing in life was to have an intimate relationship with another human being. I believe he was right about both.
