I was so sure that the only way to have my bed positioned was facing the windows. I mean, what woman in her right mind would move it away from a view of the sky and all those birds in the trees? But no matter how much my brain battled the idea, I knew intuitively that the bed belonged in the corner, facing the other way.
Although I no longer see the birds when I wake up, now I feel as if I'm one of them; curled up in my little New York City nest. (I sleep better, too.)
Btw: Lilacs are my favorite, but the ones pictured here are Blue Hyacinth.
