In this moment

Tonight I'll wash Annie's back for the last time in the bathtub I've bathed her in since she was a baby.

I'd give anything to have my girlfriends near me now.

The MOST important thing you will pack up and move is the MEMORIES of moments spent in the Homestead ...

- breastfeeding Annie, waiting for the movers

- countless baths in the tub

- meals prepared, after school snacks shared and cookies and milk savoured

- laughter, tears, and life's moments ...

I was once given a basket with the words - "it only looks empty" ... my basket was full of memories spent in a community I had grown to love deeply ...

The memories will go with you WHEREVER you go Katie ... and they ARE wonderful memories !!

Hang in there ...

Certainly, if moving is the worst thing happening in my life, I'm doing really well. And yes, you've got it right, all the memories are coming with us...except for the milk, never really did savor milk.

Thanks Shawn, as always, for your kindness.
