Country Joe used to come to parties at our house in the City Terrace part of LA. Mostly he'd lie on our kitchen floor staring at the ceiling. I introduced his sister Nancy to one of my best friends Charles on top of our garage roof. They were married for a while. One day at the flea I came across their father's self published autobiography called "Just an Old Man" or something like that. And there in a nutshell is everything I know about Country Joe.
He was married to a dear friend of my mother's and I was a flower girl at their wedding.
