Letter to God

Dear God,

Please don't let me take a perfectly good blog and turn it into one where I post way too many pictures of our new puppy, and try in vain to describe her amazing personality or all the ways in which she is more charming, sweet and comical than any other puppy in the history of puppies.

Please keep me, a relatively intelligent and interesting woman, from becoming someone who listens for a yelp over a melody, savors the sweet smell of puppy breath over gardenias, and who endlessly explains how a photograph cannot possibly capture the adorable face or the very round belly of this little bundle of sweetness and light.
