Sitting at the sidebar

From the new Miles Davis tribute CD, Miles From India.

Although definitely worth listening to all the way through, it just can't compare to the live performance last night at Town Hall--the kind of night that makes you want to stand up and give thanks.

I was completely unaware of this. It sounds really great. In fact I am going to buy it right now. You got me thinking of the last time I saw him live. In London about 8 weeks before he died. I was given a ticket at the last moment.

I just bought the complete Columbia sessions (125 tracks) for about 10 dollars on itunes. While I would rather have the hard copy it's hard to argue against that.

Thank you so much for posting.

And completely unrelated to this blog I see that the world's current greatest rock band (Sigur Ros) are playing at The Grand Ballroom, Manhattan Centre, NYC on June 16. If you can go you will not regret it. They are fabulous.

Glad you like it, Doug, let me know what you think of the album.

Unfortunately, I never really enjoy live rock music, but thanks for the suggestion nonetheless. (I'll have a listen on youtube)
