I have a pack of turkey bacon that has been in my freezer since last November. It says: Freeze or use by December 8th, 2008. But when I defrost it today (January 15th, 2009), it seems to me, since I didn't use it by December 8th, 2008, and now it is no longer frozen--I must throw it out.
Clarification appreciated.

I think the deterioration begins the day it is defrosted. Which I guess gives you many more months. But what do I know? I only eat tofu turkey.
p.s. love the picture. Looks like she's doing yoga. Either that or her upper body has adhered to the insides of the freezer.
Thanks for the tip, Coop--if I end up in the hospital, will you come visit?
Yeah, that's actually a new form of yoga--done only here on the east coast during wintertime.
Take it from a former chef at India Joze, where people only got sick occasionally... you can eat it.
... speaking of deep and dark ...
If the turkey bacon lays you low I for one will come and visit you to cheer you up ...
btw, how's you get a picture of my freezer?? And who is that woman yoga-ing amongst my bagels, chicken nuggets and other assorted frosty items ????
