A mouse in the house

Me: "I found a mouse in my kitchen last night."

Annie: "Awww...was it cute?"

Me: "No, it was not cute, it was walking across my stove. I'm going to have to call the exterminator."

Annie: "No Mommy!"

Silence.

Annie: "I've decided it's a girl, and I want to name her Gumdrop!"

Me: "Annie! I can't kill someone named Gumdrop!"

Annie: "Exactly my point!"

Oh, too bad the prior post have comments disabled, I just wanted to add this: "The world will freely offer itself to you to be unmasked, it has no choice, it will roll in ecstasy at your feet." (by Franz Kafka on "Reflections on the Great Wall of China").
But, hey, I'm sure I like Gumdrop too. I need a mouse.

Cristian: The Universe wanted you to share this beautiful quote--it just wanted to make sure you included a Gumdrop.

Thank you.

Dear Puck,

I assure you, I am a pacifist. I own a Bug Buster and have been known to spend hours trapping and setting FLIES free as an alternative to killing.

Therefore I will take your advice and order this little "hotel" for Gumdrop.

Thanks.

i used something similar before and if they stay in the trap for too long they dehydrate and suffer rw

When I've used live traps, I always ensure there is adequate food and water in case I neglect to check ... I've never had any complaints and many return customers!!

This is for Puck ... isn't eating the fly after being spared a tryst with the swatter simply and utterly cruel?? Particularly after a cross-continent adventure??

Fly Freedom NOT eat'em !!
